The good thing is that the number of females per 1000 males in the state has gone up to 970, which was 948 in 2015-2016. The number of girls out of 1000 births has also increased to 956, which was 927 in 2015-16. At the same time, it is a matter of concern that during this period there has been an increase in the number of children and women suffering from anemia.
This survey was conducted in Madhya Pradesh in two phases from 6 January 2020 to 21 March 2020 and 28 November 2020 to 30 April 2021. The report has been prepared on the basis of a survey of about 48 thousand women and 7 thousand men from 44 thousand households.
The level of education is also worrying
65.4% women of the state are educated. According to the report, only 29% of women have got education beyond 10th standard. In rural areas it is 21.7%. At the same time, 26.9% of the women of the state have never used the internet. Whereas in males this number is 55.7%.
23.1 percent of women were married before the age of 18,
in the state, 23.1 percent of women of 20-24 years were married before the age of 18. The fertility rate in the state has come down to 2.0. The fertility rate in 2015-16 was 2.3. 2.1 The population is assumed to be stable at the fertility rate. Fertility rates below this indicate a slowing down of population growth.
This is a big concern
, the problem of anemia has increased in the children of 6-59 months of age in the state. In the survey for the year 2015-16, 68.9% children were suffering from anemia. Which has increased to 72.7% in 2020-21. At the same time, the problem of anemia has increased from 52.5% to 54.7% in women in the age group of 15-49 years.
Even now 2.5% of deliveries are being done at home in Madhya Pradesh. Although skill staff was present at that time, the figure is worrying despite the government's promotion of institutional deliveries. The number of caesarean deliveries in private hospitals has increased as compared to government health facilities.
46.5% of men consume tobacco
- The use of sanitary napkins among women aged 15 to 24 increased from 37.6% to 60.5%.
- Over 15 years of age 1.0% of women and 17.1% of men consume alcohol.
- 1.0% of women and 46.5% of men over the age of 15 use tobacco.
- Toilet facilities have increased from 34.8% to 65.1% of households.
- Infant death rate (28-365 days) came down from 51.2% to 41.3%.
- Under 5 death rate has come down from 64.6% to 49.2%.
