Actually, after 13 years by the department (MP Board), the 5th and 8th board exams will be conducted once again. In this case, there was a discussion that in view of the possibility of third wave of Corona, MP Board fifth and eighth examination will not be conducted this year. However, School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar had dismissed all these discussions and said that this year the board examination of class 5th and 8th will be conducted in Madhya Pradesh. Now it is believed that its outline has been prepared by the State Education Center.

Actually the exam is likely to be held in April 2022. Its preparation is being completed by the State Education Center. Let us tell you that in 5th and 8th the annual examination was to be held on the lines of the board, but in 2019 due to Corona, after the examination of some subjects, the examination was canceled and the students were given general promotion.

At the same time, in 2020, annual assessment was done by sending answer sheets to the students of classes 1 to 8 at home. In such a situation, in view of the case of Corona this year, Plan B has also been prepared by the State Education Center. In the same 2021-22 session, the possibility of taking the 5th and 8th board exams in April 2022 is expected.

However, if the examination is not conducted due to any reason, then home based examination will be organized by sending worksheets from door to door to the children. At the same time, there has been a big cut in the syllabus of the exam. Also, the exam will be conducted on 60% more theory questions along with 40 percent project based assessment.

It is to be known that the board examination of MP Board 5th and 8th students in Madhya Pradesh was stopped in 2007-08. After the implementation of RTE, the examination of students from class I to VIII started on the basis of annual assessment. No student could be failed under RTE rule. However, after the amendment in RTE in 2019, preparations were made to conduct the examination of the students of MP Board 5th and 8th on the board pattern. The students who fail in such examination will not be given promotion to the next class.
