Madhya Pradesh Budget Announcement 2022 Update; Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, Shivraj Singh Chouhan

  Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented the budget for 2022-23 in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly amid uproar by the opposition. This was his second budget, in which major announcements were made for government employees. The government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 11% to 31%. This will benefit 7.5 lakh employees.

Focusing on education, recruitment of 13 thousand new teachers has also been announced. The number of MBBS seats will be increased from 2035 to 3250 i.e. total 1215 seats will increase. Nursing seats will be increased from 50 to 320. 6 thousand constables will be recruited in the home department.

A meeting of ministers was held in the assembly under the chairmanship of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The special thing about the budget is that no new tax has been imposed this time. Nor is there any proposal to increase the tax. The total budget is 2 lakh 79 thousand 237 crores. There is a fiscal deficit of Rs 55 thousand 111 crore in this.

The special thing is that the child budget was also presented for the first time in the state, but it was not brought separately. The child budget is 27 thousand 792 crores. The Finance Minister mentioned this in the budget speech. He said that children below the age of 12 years would be given facilities under this. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora has said that there is no idea to implement old pension in the state. However, he definitely said that the pension scheme which is in force at present, can make some further amendments in it.

Who got what in the budget...

  • Dearness allowance of government employees increased from 20% to 31%. Seven and a half lakh employees will benefit from this.
  • 13000 teachers will be appointed. 11 new industrial areas will be developed.
  • 6 thousand constables will be recruited in the home department.
  • MBBS seats will be increased from 2035 to 3250. That is, a total of 1215 seats will increase. 50 seats in Nursing will be increased to 320.
  • No new tax will be levied this year. Nor is there any proposal to increase the tax.
  • A provision of 27 thousand 792 crores has been made for the child budget.
  • 217 Electronic Vehicle Charging Stations will be built on PPP (Public Private Partnership) model at Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur.
  • Industry parks will be set up at Bagrod and Berasia in Bhopal. Sports Science Center will be established.
  • Tribal Development Corporation will be formed. A new scheme will be started for the service of cows.
  • Every house in Burhanpur district is getting tap-water facility. It has become the first district.
  • A provision of 40 crores has been made for SC Finance Development Corporation. There is a provision of 50 crores for Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation.
  • Solar plants will be set up in Sagar, Shajapur, Ujjain.
  • One lakh metric tonnes of storage capacity will be developed for horticulture crops. Milk production scheme will start. There is a provision of 1050 crores for this. Door to door veterinary service will start in the state. There is a possibility of employment in the fisheries sector. Chief Minister Fisheries Scheme will start. 50 crore has been made for this.
  • Work is also being done for self-employment of SC-ST and OBC women. This work is being done through self-help groups. They will be given a credit of Rs 2000 crore.
  • 31 lakh beneficiaries will be given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. A provision of 10 thousand crores has been made.
  • Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana will be started again.
  • There will be reservation of land for Mahakal temple.
  • Provision of subsidy of Rs 25,000 crore on electricity bill.
  • A provision of 6300 crores has been proposed for Rural and Urban Jal Jeevan Mission.
  • A target has been set to increase the irrigation potential to 65 lakh hectares by the year 2025.
  • A provision of 370 crores has been made for the huge statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar and Vedantapeeth of international standard.

The Finance Minister performed puja at his residence before presenting the budget in the Assembly. He said- This time the budget is going to be according to the expectations of the people. Before leaving the house in the morning towards the assembly, he said – This budget of the Madhya Pradesh government will be a budget of public interest. Everything you expect will happen in this budget. A meeting of ministers was held at 10 am in the assembly under the chairmanship of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this the budget speech of the Finance Minister was approved.
