The Sarwate bus stand, built by spending 14.78 crores, is to be inaugurated on Monday after two days. When Bhaskar got the quality checked by six experts, many flaws came to the fore. There is parking in the basement, but its roof is so small that even small cars with a good carrier will not be able to enter the big vehicles.
When the officers' car collided, the beam of the basement was cut, on which this building rests. The design had four lifts, only one installed. There are no CCTV cameras nor generators. The ramp is such that the buses have to be removed in reverse. Engineer Atul Seth says, there are big glitches in the work. Mahesh Sharma, the superintending engineer of the corporation, says that some errands go on improving.
Only two ducts in the parking lot will suffocate the smoke
. There is no air circulation in the 55,000 sq ft basement. Only two ducts are given in the corner. People will be suffocated by the fumes from the vehicles.
As the Golden Gate Hotel burnt down with the same sheet,
instead of the paint of 2 lakhs, ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) sheet of 75 lakhs was applied. Two years ago, the fire in Hotel Golden Gate was caused by such a sheet.
Passengers will not be able to board the bus directly, will have to come from the ramp
The ramp of the buses is wrong, due to which they will have to be reversed and removed. Instead of boarding the bus directly, passengers have to come from the ramp.
Vehicles can fall
, vehicles will come up from the basement parking, from there the bus will leave. In this case there will be a possibility of an accident. In the absence of a safety wall, the slightest mistake can cause the car to fall down.
